New Blog - New Website - New Summer Range

It's been along while since I've last blogged which proves I'm not really good at it. I have given it a little makeover though to come in line with the rest of my branding so should really attempt to utilise it more.

Lots has been happening at the Inkidink HQ in recent weeks.  Biggest news is that we are moving!  We are in the process of selling our house and have purchased 5 acres of land in a rural area about 50mins from Melbourne.  We are all really excited about our upcoming move - especially the kids with the prospect of getting lots of new animals and building a new house. Downside is we will be living in the shed that is currently on the property while we build.

Inkidink has also joined forces with Rhoda from Draigerai, Susan from Nifty Naps and Nadine from Cou Cou to form our own little collective store called Constellation Kids.  We are aiming to be a one stop handmade store for Childrens Clothing, Accessories, Cloth Nappies and more.  If you haven't already pop on over to the website and take a peak.

I am also very honoured to have been accepted as a new member of the Handmade Cooperative - Australian Handmade 4 Kids.  Written by crafter's for shoppers the Blog features the latest offerings in children's items from many different stores using an ever changing theme.  Follow the blog and sign up to the newsletter to stay up to date with whats going on.

Start of September also marked Inkidink's first birthday and to celebrate i decided to release a summer range and have the first ever Inkidink photo shoot.  Stacey from Cherished Memories did a fabulous job with the photos and keeping the 5 children entertained and happy.  You can see the results of the shoot on my facebook page here and on my soon to be website but I'll save that for another post.

I think that's about all the news i have for now.  Hopefully i can keep up with the updates at least once a month so things don't look so bare in here.  xx

Busy, Busy

Well i think i have proved a valid point that i still am a useless blogger, oops anyhow i've been slowly making up stock and finishing off a few custom orders for friends.  I'm really enjoying sewing everyday but am struggling a little to find a happy balance between that and family life.

I'm working on some boys set this weekend that i hope to pop up on my store possibly monday.  You can find it here

Here is some pics for you all to see :)

Taking a leap

So it seems the time has come to take the leap and start selling some of my creations.
I'm scared and excited all at the same time but i feel it's the next step to take and am comfortable that my items are at a standard worth paying for ;)

Over the next few weeks i'll be adding pics of items i will be making as standard lines.  Hopefully have a FB page up in running in the next week or 2 with stock going into a MadeIt store start to mid September.

Looking forward to getting started!!

Interesting what you find while cleaning up the favourites in your PC, a little bookmark labelled as blog, hmmm to be honest i forgot i had one. So this is round two on an attempt to keep this updated.

So what have i been up to?? Not much really apart from living in the moment, day to day with my kids who just happen to be getting bigger by the minute. I've also refound my sewing mojo so have been on the machines everyday pumping ou mainly swap gifts but every now and again something for my kids too.

Here's a couple of pics of recent finished items.

Some Girly stuff

Well these are some recent swap items i had been working on. I loved the way they turned out and i'm just hoping the little girls who received them love them too.
